MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Blyth with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a Toolmaker to join their team. Our client is well established within their sector and are currently experiencing strong growth fuelled by high demand for their products. You will be joining a very secure business, with fantastic opportunities to develop your skills alongside experienced industry professionals.

The Job you\'ll do
  • Producing high precision work.
  • Carry out repairs and improvements to tooling.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience in manual Machining (Turning, Milling, Drilling) ideally from a tool making background.
  • Experience using Vertical Borers would be advantageous.
  • Ensure that you comply with the requirements of the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
  • Promote a safe working environment by directly challenging or reporting unsafe or environmentally damaging practices and hazardous working
  • Support environmental sustainability initiatives within the company such as segregating waste and switching off electrical equipment where appropriate and not in use.

  • Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in toolmaking/machining (desirable)
