Job summary

Sonovision UK is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, coordination and delivery of tooling projects within aerospace and related sectors. You will work under the Head of Project Delivery, coordinating design, manufacturing and procurement to meet milestones and budgets.

Opportunity to lead projects, gain exposure to RFQs and tender processes, and develop core PM skills in a multidisciplinary environment. On-site role with potential site visits and safety briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering with 2–5 years of PM experience (aerospace/automotive/naval preferred).
• Experience with FEA, 2D CAD, 3D CAD and standard office software required.
• PM and business development interest beneficial but strong technical skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver tooling projects; support budgets and schedules.
• Liaise with design, manufacturing and procurement to hit milestones.

The role:

The Project Manager will lead/assist (depending on project complexity) in the planning, coordination, and delivery of special tooling projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn from senior leadership, gain exposure to complex aerospace and mechanical engineering projects, and develop core project management skills. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Head of Project Delivery.

Project Management/Support

• Preparation and maintenance of project documentation including schedules, reports, and WBS/SOPs.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure timely project milestones are met.
• Help monitor project budgets and support reporting activities.
• Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Support the coordination of RFQs and tender responses.
• Have the opportunity to lead projects and gain valuable experience

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to collect information and coordinate actions.
• Attend customer site visits when required to observe and assist with onsite engagement activities.
• Serve as point of contact for internal stakeholders and selected clients.

Performance & Quality

• Assist in tracking team performance and reporting metrics to leadership.
• Participate in quality assurance and validation tasks as directed.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in tooling design and manufacturing.

HSE & Compliance

• Support HSE documentation preparation and compliance with onsite safety procedures.
• Assist with the delivery of internal HSE briefings and maintain relevant logs

To be considered for this opportunity

• Bachelor in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Aerospace, Electronic - or equivalent/similar qualifications/experience) with previous experience (2-5 years) with project management, preferably in Aerospace, Automotive, Rail or Naval industries
• Previous exposure/experience with FEA, 2D CAD, 3D CAD, and office package
• Preference for project management and business development but with good technical prowess
