Job Summary

A global Tier 1 automotive manufacturer is looking for a Tooling Engineer (Die Maintenance Technician) to join their team in Telford. The role involves routine maintenance, assembly and disassembly of press and injection mould tools within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will report to the Assistant Manager in the Jig, Die & Tool section.

Role Details
  • Location: Telford
  • Salary: £41,400 - £46,000
  • Shift: Double Days (07:00–15:00 & 15:00–23:00)
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and disassemble new tools, moulds, dies and fixtures to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Modify, maintain and repair existing tooling to maintain production efficiency.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to improve tool performance and longevity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast‑paced manufacturing environments such as automotive.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work double days shifts.
  • Experience on mould and/or press tools.
