Tooling Engineer. Our successful manufacturing company based in Telford is looking for a full-time permanent tooling engineer to join their busy and successful team on the shop floor, undertaking a wide variety of engineering tasks. You will be adhering to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity, representing the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute. In addition, you will be interpreting Engineering drawings to conduct repairs and modifications on Extrusion tooling, utilising workshop machinery such as CNC wire eroders and Milling machine, laser welder, vertical milling machines, centre lathe and surface grinders, ensuring quality is achieved through attention to detail, Endeavour to find new ways of doing things and learn from past experience and you will always be looking to improve working practices, systems and processes in the tool room. Plus being able to maintain a very high level of housekeeping at all times in the workshop and around machines.
