Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Telford is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a full-time, permanent role on the shop floor. Salary ranges from £36,000 to £46,000 per annum, with a 4 on 4 off day schedule from 6am to 6pm.

You will interpret drawings and perform repairs/modifications on extrusion tooling, ensuring compliance with HSE standards. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 Engineering qualification and has experience with CNC wire erosion and laser welding, plus strong numeracy and PC skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret Engineering drawings and conduct repairs/modifications on extrusion tooling.
• Operate workshop machinery including CNC wire erosion, milling, laser welders, vertical milling machines, centre lathe and surface grinders.
• Ensure quality and adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively within a structured environment and maintain good housekeeping.

The Tooling Engineer position in Telford offers a full-time, permanent contract with a salary between £36,000 and £46,000 per annum. Working on the shop floor, you will perform diverse engineering tasks, interpreting technical drawings and adhering to operational procedures. Tooling Engineer. Our successful manufacturing company based in Telford is looking for a full-time permanent tooling engineer to join their busy and successful team on the shop floor, undertaking a wide variety of engineering tasks. You will be adhering to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity, representing the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute. In addition, you will be interpreting Engineering drawings to conduct repairs and modifications on Extrusion tooling, utilising workshop machinery such as CNC wire eroders and Milling machine, laser welder, vertical milling machines, centre lathe and surface grinders, ensuring quality is achieved through attention to detail, Endeavour to find new ways of doing things and learn from past experience and you will always be looking to improve working practices, systems and processes in the tool room. Plus being able to maintain a very high level of housekeeping at all times in the workshop and around machines.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification in Engineering
• Engineering aptitude

• Work within a team Environment.
