Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer for an on-site 12-month contract in Ampthill. The role focuses on developing tooling, jigs and fixtures, using CREO and Windchill to support production and experimental needs. You will work across manufacturing disciplines to optimize cost, quality and delivery.

You will design tooling through the full lifecycle, ensuring right‑first‑time quality and alignment with capital plans, while liaising with Industrial and Production Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Background in tooling design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machining, composites, fabrication, mechanical assembly, additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing tooling and fixturing.
• Create detailed process instructions and Manufacturing BOMs/routings.
• Support production and tooling validation to meet cost and yield goals.
