Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to support senior design engineers on development and resilience programmes. You will prepare models and drawings for customised equipment, ensuring compliance with BS 8888 and ISO 9001, and liaising with Product, Process and Manufacturing teams.

The role emphasises hands-on involvement with one-off and batch production processes and requires understanding of assembly design and engineering tolerances.

Qualifications

• Previous Drawing Office experience is essential.
• Understanding of GD&T tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of stock components, fasteners, pneumatic, hydraulic and pipework.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings and BOMs for site engineering programmes.
• Apply BS 8888 and ISO9001 with internal sign-off procedures.
• Select materials and tolerances for form, fit and function.
• Collaborate with Product, Process and Manufacturing engineers to support requirements.
