Position

Mergon UK is looking for a Tool Change Fitter & Setter to join our team in Blackburn. This role involves changing the tools and dies on the production machinery driving a FLT and mechanical repairs.

Hours of Work

2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving a FLT to carry out tool and die changes to blow and injection moulding machines on a busy production shopfloor.
  • Inspection of tools and reporting of faults and/or damage to the Engineering department.
  • Assisting with basic level mechanical repairs.
  • Ensuring the secondary equipment required is available and operating correctly.
  • Completing the paperwork associated with tool changes.
To be successful in this role you will likely have
  • At least 3 years experience; ideally previously worked in a manufacturing environment but not essential.
  • FLT driving qualification.
  • Lifting and sling experience.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake any necessary training as identified to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.
