We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Tissue Viability Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Faversham, Kent.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject i.e. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professionals.
Experience
  • Experience within your area of practice. As well as managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others.
  • Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.
Knowledge
  • You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks.
  • You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker.
  • You’ll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing.
Skills & abilities
  • You will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to organise your own work.
  • You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
Personal attributes
  • A full, valid driving license and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
Ability to manage
  • Work together with colleagues and other teams across the Trust.
