Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our tissue viability team at Gloucester/Cheltenham sites. The role focuses on delivering a specialist tissue viability nursing service across the Trust, managing caseloads and providing expert advice.
You will contribute to formal and informal education, lead and participate in audits, and support the Lead Nurse in day-to-day operations.
A registered nurse with substantial years clinical experience AFC 5 or above you will be able to participate in the delivery of a specialist tissue viability trust wide nursing service.
You will help to manage a clinical case load providing clinical advice and support relating to tissue viability.
You will formulate and participate in formal and informal education.
Plan, undertake and analyse relevant audit activities.
You will be able to support the Lead Nurse for Tissue Viability in the day to day running of the Trust wide service.
You will be able to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and also work autonomously, exercising clinical expertise in tissue viability.
You must possess knowledge and skills in clinical risk evaluation, pressure ulcer prevention strategies and ideally change management.

Working hours is Monday-Friday 08:00 to 16:00 excluding bank holidays.
This is across both Gloucester Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.
