Job summary

CNC Recruitment South West Ltd is assisting a well-established timber manufacturer in South Petherton to recruit a Sawmill Operative / Timber Machinist. You will operate timber machining equipment to process timber, ensuring orders are produced to specification with safety and efficiency at the forefront.

Ideally you have timber machining or sawmill experience, a practical mindset and a keen eye for quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in timber sawmill, woodworking or timber machining preferred.
• Qualification in woodworking or timber machining advantageous.
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate timber machining equipment to process and prepare timber products.
• Ensure orders are completed accurately, safely and on time.
• Record production information on paperwork and company systems.
