Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a TIG Welder to join a well-established company near Ilminster, Somerset. You will weld and fabricate sheet metal components to engineering drawings, producing items both singularly and in small batches.

The role demands good communication, teamwork and accuracy from technical specifications. The position is full-time with salary £32,000–£40,000 depending on experience and overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Good communication and team working skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Capable of working to drawing tolerances.
• Be able to dress finished surfaces to a high standard.
• MIG welding will be required where necessary.
• Able to work using your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate a variety of quality sheet metal products.
• Produce finished components, both as single items and in small batches, from engineering drawings.
• Work within a small team to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
