Job summary

Interaction Recruitment client in Letchworth is seeking experienced TIG Welders / Fabricators to join their busy workshop team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will weld and fabricate to precise specifications in a workshop environment.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, working with various materials, and maintaining quality and safety to meet production deadlines. This is a stable long-term opportunity with an established manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Previous TIG welding experience essential.
• Previous fabrication or workshop experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out TIG welding and fabrication to a high standard.
• Work with a variety of materials and components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Prepare, fit and weld components accurately.
• Manufacture precision components to customer specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections on completed work.
• Ensure welds and finished products meet required quality standards.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
