Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and metal finishing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math for measurements/tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components to meet specs.
  • Utilize stick welding when required for material variation or repairs.
  • Operate tools and welding equipment safely during fabrication and assembly.

  • Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products for safety and specs.

Duties
  • Perform TIG welding on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components, ensuring clean, accurate welds that meet project specifications
  • Utilize stick welding techniques when required to handle different materials or repair tasks
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication and assembly processes
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide precise welding and assembly work
  • Assist in fabricating metal parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
  • Proven experience in TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with stick welding as a supplementary skill for diverse fabrication needs
  • Hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and metal finishing techniques
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
  • Prior experience working with various metals such as steel, aluminum, or stainless steel is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
