Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a leading marine engineering business based in Fareham on a 6 month contract with opportunities for overtime.

You will carry out high-quality TIG welding on marine pipework and tubular assemblies, welding stainless steel, aluminium and carbon steel to rigorous specifications. You will read engineering drawings and weld procedures, ensure quality records, and work closely with fabrication and engineering teams.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder, preferably with pipe welding experience.
• Ability to weld pipework in a variety of positions and configurations.
• Experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel pipe systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings and weld procedures.
• Experience within marine, shipbuilding, defence, oil & gas, process plant or heavy engineering environments.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out high-quality TIG welding on pipework and tubular assemblies.

• Perform positional pipe welding to required quality standards.

• Work closely with fabrication, fitting and engineering teams to deliver project objectives.
• Complete welding documentation and quality records as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with company, marine and defence standards.

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a leading marine engineering business based in Fareham on a 6 month contract with the opportunity to work lots of overtime. The company specialises in the manufacture, repair, refit and maintenance of equipment and systems used on naval and defence vessels.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-specification engineering projects supporting naval platforms, carrying out precision welding on marine pipework and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities
