Qualifications

• Proven and extensive experience as a TIG Welder.
• Strong experience with stainless-steel pipework.
• Experience welding 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework.
• Experience undertaking Class 2 welding works.
• Relevant and current TIG welding qualifications/accreditation.
• A valid CSCS card.
• Experience on commercial construction sites.
• Ability to read technical drawings and isometric drawings.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.

Responsibilities

Maptalent Trades are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully accredited TIG Welder to join a major new-build data centre project in the Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder looking for long-term, consistent work on a high-profile construction project, working alongside a professional and multi-skilled site team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for Class 2 welding works, with a particular focus on the installation and welding of 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework.

You will be required to consistently deliver high-quality welding to the required project specifications, while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety and working effectively alongside other trades.

Requirements

• Proven and extensive experience as a TIG Welder
• Strong experience working with stainless-steel pipework
• Previous experience welding 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework
• Experience undertaking Class 2 welding works
• Relevant and current TIG welding qualifications/accreditation
• A valid CSCS card
• Previous experience working on commercial construction sites
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and isometric drawings
• A strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team
• Checkable references from previous construction/site-based employment
• Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic
