Salary

£42,850+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing
  • Generating technical publications as part of an Air Document Set to support the safe operation and maintenance of Fast Jet aircraft in-service
  • Providing customer support to respond to in-service technical queries and manage the closure of information request forms
  • Interpreting engineering source data, collaborating with system design teams and integrated logistic support to ensure technical publications are delivered as part of an integrated support solution
  • Ensuring quality assurance of publications in accordance with ASD S1000D specification, ASD-STE100, local styleguide and Military Airworthiness Authority regulations
  • Generating and collaborating with the wider team on work instructions and to support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Developing future ways of working, utilising emerging technology for digital engineering and advanced information systems
Your skills and experiences
Essential
  • Military aircraft maintainer experience or experience in technical publications/generating technical data
  • Excellent working knowledge of engineering principles and the product lifecycle
  • Experience handling technical information and proficient in the discipline of configuration controlli>
  • HNC/HND in a relevant subject or equivalent experience within relevant engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in IT skills and strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of an Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP), ASD S1000D, AvP70 and Common Source Database (CSDB)
  • Knowledge of Atlassian software suite including Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLM Teamcentre or Raytheon EAGLE toolsets
  • Undergraduate degree in a STEM subject

The Fast Jet Support Team

The Technical Information Service, Fast Jet Support team at Warton plays a critical role in delivering high-quality Technical Publications and approved data to both UK and export customers.
