Job summary

HP Labs, Bristol, UK, is seeking a Threat Research Engineer to study emerging endpoint device threats and educate stakeholders. You will analyze OS-level and hardware threats, report findings, and contribute to HP's security strategy.

Responsibilities include translating complex results into accessible reports, producing external threat content, and collaborating with researchers and communications teams to shape market-facing security messaging.

Qualifications

• OS architecture knowledge foundation (Windows, Linux…)
• Some experience with reverse engineering tools
• Experience with attack and killchain analysis standard frameworks
• Strong understanding of endpoint security technologies, proven experience in computer security architecture and low-level systems security.

Responsibilities

• Threat Research and Technical Analysis of endpoint trends, assessing risk, documenting mitigations.
• Translate complex concepts into clear artefacts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create external threat research content and briefings for customers, partners and media.
