Job summary

Barclay Simpson is seeking a CTI Lead to join its Threat Intelligence function. You’ll apply data science techniques to identify, analyse and mitigate cyber threats across the organisation.

Working with TI, Cyber Operations, and Threat Hunting teams, you’ll analyse large security datasets from SIEMs, endpoints and firewalls to detect patterns, anticipate attack vectors and support incident response. Hybrid London role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Threat Intelligence, IR or SOC preferred.
• Background in Data Science with large datasets.
• Ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyse security datasets to detect patterns of malicious activity.
• Collaborate with TI, Cyber Operations and Threat Hunting teams.
• Use ML and data analysis to identify attack vectors and assist incident response.

Job description

Financial Services firm seeks a CTI Lead to join it’s growing Threat Intelligence function. In this role, you’ll apply data science techniques such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and data engineering to help identify, analyse, and mitigate cyber threats across the organisation.

Working closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence, Cyber Operations, and Threat Hunting teams, you’ll use large and complex security datasets (from sources like SIEMs, endpoints, and firewalls) to detect patterns of malicious activity, anticipate potential attack vectors, and support incident response efforts. You’ll also leverage external threat intelligence to assess emerging risks, including threat actor behaviour, TTPs, and intrusion trends.

A key part of the role involves translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.

This role would suit someone with a background in Threat Intelligence / IR / SOC with experience in Data Science, who is comfortable working with large, complex datasets.

The salary offering for this role is up to £110,000 base plus a bonus of up to £19,500. This role requires x2 days a week in the London office.
