Qualifications

• Strong experience with modern attack and defence techniques across cloud, SaaS and desktop environments.
• Hands-on security automation and scripting; familiarity with SOAR platforms and automating threat tasks.
• Excellent spoken and written communication, with ability to drive solutions to completion.

Responsibilities

• Support threat detection through a robust SIEM, including log parsing for in-house apps and tuning detections.
• Create security automations and services to automate mundane tasks and enrich data.
• Hunt for threats across AWS, GCP, internal apps and employee endpoints (Windows, macOS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business-specific threat detection rules.
• Ensure detection quality and uptime via test-driven development and health monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to build internal tools to improve data visibility and response.
• Lead complex incident investigations across security, IT, and engineering teams.
• Participate in the wider security incident response on-call rota.
