Job Overview

The Department of Surgery and the Division of Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) and Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP) seeks to recruit a board certified / board eligible full-time thoracic surgeon who will be primarily based at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Plymouth. The successful candidate should have experience in thoracic surgery, inclusive of malignant and non-malignant diseases of the lungs, pleura, diaphragm, and the mediastinum including the esophagus. Advanced skills in bronchoscopy, thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery techniques are required. Robotic thoracic surgical skills are not required but would be beneficial. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional teamwork, program development and mentorship abilities. Teaching opportunities at the Boston campus are available based on the candidate’s interest and skillset.

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Plymouth is an acute care, 170-bed community hospital providing full healthcare services to the communities of southeastern Massachusetts, including residents in Plymouth and Barnstable counties.
