Overview

Kitchen Porter Oxford Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Salary: 13.07. Hours: 37.5 per week.

A private day school for girls in Oxford, part of a group of well-established schools. Catering for 770 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and sixth form café open all day taking cash sales. There is some hospitality daily at this location and it is a term-time contract working 41 weeks a year. This operates Monday to Friday and has the additional benefit of free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Oxford.

Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Keep the kitchen hygienic and clean to high standards.
  • Operate the industrial dishwasher and assist with some food preparation as needed.
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, including heavy catering equipment following instructions and cleaning materials, such as air filters and extraction systems.
  • Assist Chefs with some food preparation tasks when required.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times.
Requirements / Skills
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Great team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Organisation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of English (verbal and reading/writing) sufficient for role needs.
