We are looking for a dynamic Third-Party Manager to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will take ownership of a portfolio of third‑party suppliers aligned to key business areas and senior stakeholders.

In this role, you will manage the full supplier lifecycle, from onboarding and commercial negotiation to ongoing relationship management, renewals, and exits, ensuring compliance with our Procurement Policy and risk management framework. You will also develop sourcing and category strategies for your areas and play a key part in embedding best practice across the Society.

This is a varied role that spans procurement, supplier risk management, and relationship management. You will act as the single point of contact for leadership and relationship owners, building strong partnerships and driving value across the organisation.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Third Party Manager at Nottingham Building Society:

  • Procurement and Sourcing: Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes, including supplier identification, RFP management, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Contract Negotiation: Drive negotiations to secure favourable commercial outcomes and robust terms and conditions for the Society.
  • Category Strategy: Develop and implement category strategies to optimise cost, quality, and service delivery.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies and relevant industry regulations.
  • Risk Management: Facilitate thorough due diligence and ongoing risk assessments of suppliers, covering financial stability, operational resilience, information security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Risk Frameworks: Maintain and enhance third‑party risk frameworks, ensuring alignment with FCA, PRA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs, leading corrective actions where necessary.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with leadership teams, internal stakeholders, and key suppliers to drive innovation, mitigate risk, and deliver service excellence.
About you
  • Procurement Expertise: Proven experience in procurement, third‑party risk, and relationship management, ideally within financial services.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FCA and PRA requirements for outsourcing and third‑party risk.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate contracts and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Analytical Mindset: Skilled at interpreting complex data and making informed, risk‑based decisions.
  • Process and Change: Experience embedding new policies and leading colleagues through change initiatives.
  • Collaborative Approach: Customer‑focused, adaptable, and confident working across multiple areas and specialisms.
  • Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as CIPS or training in procurement, risk management, or supplier management are desirable.
Reward & Benefits
  • Competitive Package: Fair salary benchmarked against market data, annual discretionary bonus, and 29 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Access to Medicash healthcare, mental health first aiders, and a suite of wellbeing resources to support you inside and outside of work.
  • Work‑Life Balance: 35‑hour working week for full‑time roles, with flexibility to help you perform at your best.
  • Career Growth: Ongoing personal and professional development, we’ll support your ambitions and help you grow your potential.
  • Inclusive Culture: Be part of a friendly, values‑led team that genuinely cares about doing the right thing for colleagues and customers.
  • Giving Back: Use two paid volunteering days each year to support causes close to your heart, through our Samuel Fox Foundation.
  • Sustainability Focus: Join a business committed to reducing its carbon footprint and making a positive impact on the environment.
  • Free access to Octopus Money: Financial coaching & tools that help you plan, manage, and make the most of your money.
