Job summary

Huhtamaki (UK) Limited is recruiting production operatives to operate packaging machinery and meet production targets while upholding safety and hygiene standards.

You will participate in continuous improvement, support maintenance, and ensure efficient use of materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role is based on-site in Gosport, with training provided and opportunities to develop lean and Six Sigma skills, along with growth opportunities and a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of machine types to current standards
• Meet ongoing production requirements
• Report machine condition issues promptly
• Fault-find and repair equipment per Training Matrix
• Assist Engineering with machine repairs
• Support basic preventive maintenance and tool changes
• Run engineering audits and perform adjustments
• Minimise material wastage through efficient operation
• Perform clear shift handovers
• Keep areas clean, hygienic, and compliant with BRC
• Train, mentor and coach shift operators when needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects
• Ensure operators are signed off for tasks
