Thermal Insulation Engineer, Neway – North West, Wirral / Cheshire

We are currently recruiting experienced Thermal Insulation Engineers with NVQ Level 2/3, CCNSG / CSCS to join our teams working on high-profile shutdowns, maintenance, and project scopes.

We have earned a reputation for completing the most challenging industrial service contracts and we continue to grow providing long term stability for our growing team. This is a great opportunity to get some long term stability as part of our growing team.

So as a Thermal Insulation Engineer at Neway, what will you do?
  • You’ll install and maintain thermal insulation systems and cladding on pipework, vessels, and equipment
  • Working with a range of insulation materials including mineral wool, cellular glass, phenolic, PIR, and Armaflex
  • Interpreting and working from isometric drawings and site specifications you’ll deliver what our customers expect
  • Collaborating with sheet metal fabricators and other trades you’ll deliver high-quality finishesYou will apply weatherproof cladding (where required) and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
  • Working safely in live plants and high-risk environments, including confined spaces and at height, you’ll maintain safe working practice and comply with all site safety rules and procedures
And what are we looking for?
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Thermal Insulation Engineering
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS Card
  • Experience in industrial insulation work in oil & gas, marine, petrochemical, or energy
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in fast-paced environments such as shutdowns or turnarounds
  • Flexibility to travel and work on different client sites across the UK
It will be great if you also have:
  • Asbestos Awareness training
  • PASMA, IPAF, or Working at Height certification
  • Experience on COMAH or offshore sites
  • Familiarity with insulation inspection, testing, and repair processesConfined Space Entry certification
