An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Support Worker to join our Inpatient Therapy Service based at the William Harvey Hospital. The Therapy Team specialises in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients to assist with recovery and discharge planning. This is a static post, however, there will be the opportunity to work with our therapy colleagues within the wider therapy team.
The post-holder will support the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering a high quality of therapy to patients. The role involves working alongside the MDT under the direction of the therapists, actively participating in service development, and contributing to new projects and initiatives to ensure best practice at all times.
As a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker you will be part of a Therapy team comprising Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and Therapy Support Workers. You will work closely with the MDT, following therapists’ guidance to provide high quality care through effective teamwork.
There is regular in-service training provided by both therapies and other MDT members. The post holder will be involved in new projects and service developments alongside the therapy team.
