Are you interested in working in an acute hospital setting, and have a passion for working with patients who have frailty? Do you want to work in a friendly welcoming team? If so, this may be the job for you. An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for a generic Therapy Assistant Practitioner.

This post it to work alongside qualified Occupational therapists and physiotherapists, and therapy assistance to support the team on the wards. The band 4 will carry out delegated assessments and interventions by a qualified practitioner.

The candidate will have at least 12 months experience of working as a band 3 therapy assistant. We also ask that they have 12 months NHS experience, especially working on acute wards, as this will be helpful to the candidate. Those who have not had band 3 therapy experience or NHS experience need not apply.

Progressive posts may be considered. An interest in Occupational therapy and/or physiotherapy is of value and would be beneficial.

We are looking for a motivated therapy assistant practitioner with excellent clinical and communication skills to work alongside and support qualified therapists in the treatment of patients on the acute wards at Leighton Hospital. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated therapy assistant practitioner with excellent clinical and communication skills to work alongside and support qualified therapists in the treatment of patients on the acute wards at Leighton Hospital. The post holder will be expected to contribute to assessments and carry out treatment plans agreed by the qualified therapist for allocated patients. They will contribute to the inputting of data and produce monthly reports.

We also require the commitment to contribute to a seven-day service.

The team is based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe. The successful candidate will be expected to work and support across the elderly care wards.
