Job description
Community Therapy Team – Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our community team. The role will involve patient assessment, goal setting, implementation of evidence‑based treatment and management strategies, and autonomously managing your own caseload.

The position is full‑time (37.5 hours per week). Flexibility in hours may be required to meet service needs and you will need a car to visit patients in the community, complying with local and Trust guidance on lone working.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and set therapy goals.
  • Plan, implement and record evidence‑based interventions for patients with orthopaedic conditions, falls and trauma.
  • Manage an autonomous caseload and ensure compliance with professional and legal standards.
  • Support and contribute to the training of rehabilitation assistants.
Requirements
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (cost covered by the Trust). Present a valid DBS certificate if enrolled in the DBS update service.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (applications requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible).
  • Ability to operate a vehicle for community work.
  • Familiarity with evidence‑based practice and a willingness to develop specialised community therapy skills.
