Job summary

Riverside Lewisham is seeking a Therapeutic Support Worker to provide structured support to vulnerable residents, with a focus on risk management and wellbeing. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Lewisham, London, working 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota.

The successful candidate will bring empathy, resilience, and the ability to work as part of a team, and may have lived experience related to homelessness or substance issues.

Job description

Job Title: Therapeutic Support Worker

Contract Type : 6 months fixed-term (with possibility of extension)

Salary : £33,180.78 per annum

Working Hours : 37.5 hours per week

Working Pattern : A Monday-to-Sunday rolling rota with 5 days on and 2 days off

Location : Lewisham, London

Please note that whilst we will accept applications on the basis of any form of valid legal permission to work in the UK, we will be surrendering the Riverside Sponsorship licence, so for the avoidance of doubt, we are unable to apply for any further sponsorships whether on behalf of existing colleagues or candidates.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Experience of delivering structured support and risk management
  • To be a team player with a caring and empathetic nature with a resilient, can-do attitude, able to work as part of a team
  • An understanding of supporting vulnerable people - this could include having your own lived experience of homelessness or drug or alcohol addiction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, which may not include normal office hours and may include lone working
