Therapeutic SEN School-Head Teacher. Head of Education.

We are looking for someone who is remarkable, child focused, compassionate and fun. An amazing opportunity has arisen, due to retirement, to take over the Headship of an established, trauma focused, therapeutic SEN school, rated as 'Good' with Ofsted for the education of up to 26 pupils aged 11-16. The school is embedded in a large, therapeutic residential childcare company: Meadows Care, an established company since 2004.

As Head of Education, you will lead and manage an amazing team of dedicated specialist teachers, curriculum leads and pastoral support staff, with an experienced SENCo. With the role of Head of Education, you will also be part of the senior leadership team in Meadows Care contributing to, but also supported by the specialist services such as HR, finance, Property and H&S teams, training and of course Residential Operations team and school placements support. In addition, Meadow's care has a substantial therapy service who support all the staff and young people in Meadows School, and provide specific guidance, consultation, reflection and support to ensure a therapeutic service for all young people.

Our partner organisation is the Agricultural Rural Centre (a registered school), and alongside the ARC and other venues, we provide a unique, engaging and varied learning experience for our pupils with the timetable and curriculum embedded in animal care, nature, the outdoors and a variety of activities catered to a range of different needs. The school offers all this alongside a comprehensive curriculum with a large range of qualifications from Entry level certificate to GCSE.

We are also keen to keep improving the quality of our school but also to expand our provision in terms of pupil numbers and the range of education options that we offer. We are seeking an inspiring and energetic leader that we can invest in, to assist us with our company growth and company goals.
