University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapeutic Radiographer to join its dynamic radiotherapy team. The role involves rotations between photon and proton departments, covering pre-treatment, treatment prep, treatment units and brachytherapy, delivering care across a spectrum of cancers.

The post focuses on complex imaging and treatments with a specialist PBT unit, and requires HPC registration and a BSc in therapeutic radiography.

Qualifications

• Explain the patient's journey through the radiotherapy department and the stages of simulation, planning, treatment and follow up.
• Provide information and support about cancer and communicate sensitive information to patients and carers.
• Be enthusiastic and motivated, with the ability to work through times of change.
• Demonstrate knowledge of QA systems and governance issues.
• Familiarity with radiotherapy IT systems (ARIA) and related data input.

Responsabilités

• Deliver radiotherapy treatments in photon and proton services on state-of-the-art equipment.
• Participate in treatment planning, patient care and pre-treatment activities on a rotational basis.
• Liaise with patients and relatives, and collaborate with MDT members and external partners.
