Job summary

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a Therapeutic Radiographer to join the radiotherapy team at the Kent Oncology Centre. The role involves delivering radiotherapy, imaging assessment, and working within a multidisciplinary team across Trust sites.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in radiotherapy, HPC registration, and DBS clearance, with experience in a clinical environment. A professional development package and travel across sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BSc Radiotherapy or equivalent is required.
• Registered with HPC (Health Professions Council).
• Operator under IRMER regulations.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Willingness to travel across Trust sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiotherapy treatment with ionising radiation in line with prescribed protocols and safety requirements.
• Carry out imaging assessment using KV and CBCT across sites.
• Work in the treatment team to maintain high professional and technical standards.
• Provide a patient-focused service within the team.
• Plan and organise daily work and some complex activities or programmes.
• Report variances in equipment performance through the reporting system.
• Cover emergency duties in line with Department Policy.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Identify and report possible risks.
• Travel across Trust sites when required.
