Theatre Technician

Salary: £19,482 - £21,224 pa (£30,291 - £33,000 FTE)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills as a technician, working in a busy and ambitious performing arts department, featuring two theatres, a drama studio and an array of multi-use spaces.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and work alongside the AV & Production Manager to support this busy area of school life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with setting up equipment, ensuring AV, lighting, sound and power requirements are met for all events, productions and school activities.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of lighting and sound control within a theatre setting.
  • Knowledge of video and sound editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Logic Pro).
  • Confidence in manual handling/heavy lifting of theatre equipment and climbing ladders.

Working hours: 28 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, during term-time only, plus 8 non-term days, starting in January or February 2026.
