Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining cleanliness in theatres, and supporting the surgical team. As above requirements in main duties of job and as follows: Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, participates in the delivery of planned programs of care; assisting in the receiving of patients; assists in the collection of patients from the ward; assists with the checking and preparation of instruments and equipment; unpacks and records arrival of equipment; supplying the surgical team with items as instructed; assisting the scrub team in gowning and gloving; counts swabs with a registered nurse; assisting in correctly dispatching specimens as instructed; be aware of competence and ask for assistance as required; respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
