Theatre Senior Recovery Practitioner - Band 6

This is an incredibly exciting time at St Bartholomew's Hospital as we realise a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve services for today's patients and future generations, creating world class Cancer and Cardiovascular services. With an increase in Theatre and Cath lab activity and we have opportunities for Recovery Practitioners to join us at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

You will be an experienced Recovery Practitioner with demonstrable commitment to your own professional development and experience in a busy theatre environment. Alongside our Cardiovascular theatres, Our Thoracic and General theatres support Breast surgery, Endocrine, ENT and Occular surgery. Experience within these specialities at band 6 level or equivalent is preferred, alongside enthusiasm and a desire to lead others in providing high quality and compassionate care.

We offer a wide range of development opportunities, including, Band 6 leadership opportunities, access to inhouse and external training and support from the practice education team.

**There are multiple roles and reserve lists may be maintained**

Main duties of the job

Deliver high standards of clinical care to patients according to clinical guidelines and Trust policies.

Maintains effective communication between clinical areas, with MDT and service users utilising a variety of means, including accurate documentation, consistent with Trust policy and wider legislation.Functions as a expert clinical practitioner in the recovery department and a credible role model.

The post holder is responsible for identifying and implementing measures to achieve cost improvement targets whilst maintaining quality.
