Zusammenfassung

Bupa is seeking a Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse for its UK operations. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with Monday–Saturday shifts and weekend enhancements. A generous Golden Hello and relocation support are offered, with fast-track visa assistance where eligible.

We operate a busy adult theatre with several specialties and require experience scrubbing for laparoscopic, gyne, urology and general cases. NMC/HCPC registration is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 1st level registration Adult and/or Children or Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
• Previous perioperative experience in Laparoscopic, Gynaecology, Urology, General, Plastics or Kidney Transplant.
• NMC or HCPC registered.

Aufgaben

• Assist in positioning and preparation of patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure specimens are labelled and dispatched to lab.
• Help control cross infection by observing dress, environment cleanliness, decontamination and asepsis.
• Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
• Provide assistance in clinical/operative procedures, both anaesthetics and surgery.
• Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner ensuring patient, visitors and staff safety.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative patient care.
• Participate in delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.
