HCA UK’s The Wellington Hospital in London is seeking a Theatre Practitioner – Recovery to join the Theatre team. You will deliver high quality post-anaesthetic care, monitor patients and support airway management in the immediate recovery period, across multiple complex procedures.

Qualifications

• Current HCPC or NMC registration.
• Experience in recovery, theatre or acute clinical setting.
• Sound knowledge of post anaesthetic care and patient monitoring.
• Understanding of theatre safety, governance and best practice standards.
• Excellent communication skills with a patient focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, patient centred care throughout the recovery phase following anaesthesia.
• Monitor patients’ observations and respond appropriately to changes in their clinical condition.
• Support airway management and effective pain control in the immediate post operative period.
• Collaborate closely with anaesthetists, surgeons and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide seamless patient care.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, governance and evidence based clinical practice.
