Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified theatre nurse to join the Operating Department. You will support anaesthesia administration, scrubbing and circulating across diverse surgical specialties, and provide post‑operative care in PACU.

The role offers a supportive team, structured induction, and opportunities for teaching and mentorship. UK NHS environment with pro rata annual leave and pension options.

Qualifications

• Must have RGN 1st level or ODOP diploma (or equivalent).
• Current NMC/HCPC registration; eligible to apply if awaiting results.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in theatre practice.
• Post-qualification theatre/PACU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled assistance to clinicians during anaesthesia administration and theatre duties.
• Scrub and circulate in a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Provide care in PACU and ensure high standards of patient care.
• Assist in organisational and operational management of theatres in absence of senior staff.
