A leading healthcare provider in Redhill is seeking an Anaesthetics Practitioner to cover operating theatres and mentor ODP students. The role involves 24/7 shifts, and applicants must hold a UK recognised qualification in anaesthetics. This position offers opportunities for ongoing training and development within a dedicated team focused on clinical excellence.
This is an exciting time to join us at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as we continue to expand the range of services provided within our theatre complex. We have 10 operating theatres at our East Surrey site and the Trust has dedicated CEPOD, Trauma and Orthopaedic theatres. Colorectal and upper GI Surgery, Ophthalmic, ENT, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Dental, Urology, and remote area general anaesthetics. We are continuing to develop our anaesthetic Service and need you to help us!
We offer an on-going training programme. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in mentoring these students. We positively encourage staff development and have a robust Practice Development team who support Clinical Practice and ongoing clinical expertise. We are committed to the development of our staff and have a commitment to additional courses to equip our staffs with the necessary skills in their daily activities through our local Universities.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata’s salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
