Mid and South Essex Trust are looking to recruit Theatre Practitioners across all of our hospital sites and specialities.

We are looking for enthusiastic Theatre Practitioner - Charge Nurse / ODP with sound clinical knowledge with Theatre Clinical skills or a desire to develop into a Theatre Practitioner's role.

Our Theatre Practitioners work towards providing high quality patient care within the perioperative setting. We welcome both experienced and non-experienced staff to join our supportive team. Training can also be provided to support newly registered practitioners and to those who are looking for a new career direction.

As a team we aim for excellence in delivering exceptional care, acting with compassion towards our patients and team colleagues whilst appreciating the value and being respectful towards one another. Therefore, experience of teamwork, team values and safe patient care is very important to this role.

For our successful candidates, we will aid in the development of your career, to enable this we have dedicated full‑time Training and Education Leads. We work closely with Anglia Ruskin University which provides courses such as Perioperative Advances in Safe and Effective Patient Care and the NHS Leadership Academy for leadership courses at different levels. The Trust also provides many other in‑house learning opportunities to support your developmental needs.
