Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Conquest Hospital for a Band 2 Theatre Porter.

The job role will include participating in collection of patients from surgical wards, transporting patients, equipment, specimens and general support as required to the PACU and theatre teams.

This is a full time service and you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays throughout the year.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills as working in part of a Multidisciplinary Team is essential to this role.

Main duties of the job

To facilitate the patients journey through theatres.

To transport essential and non‑essential equipment, specimens and blood products around the hospital.

To support the daily waste management through theatres.

Assisting Theatre/PACU staff with the transferring/positioning of patients on beds and trollies.
