Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience working in theatres as a Health Care Assistant.
• Essential experience in an Operating Theatre.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of theatre and recovery areas before and after operating sessions.
• Stocking of cupboards against agreed stock levels.
• Collecting and escorting the patient during transfers.
• Assisting with the safe positioning of patients on the operating table.
• Acting as circulating person for the scrub team.

Skills

Health Care assistant experience in an Operating Theatre

Knowledge of infection prevention control

Knowledge of WHO/safety checks in theatres
