Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset in Bournemouth is recruiting motivated individuals to join our expanding Theatre Department delivering a 24-hour service as a Theatre Care Assistant. The role offers training, including level 3 apprenticeships in Perioperative care and Operative Department Practitioner Apprenticeships, with progression to band 3 on completion of a care certificate.

You will work across sites, with full training, support from peers and senior staff, and a commitment to patient safety

Qualifications

• Experience of working with the public.
• Experience of working in a theatre environment.
• Experience in a caring environment.
• Willing to be in operating theatre areas during surgery.
• Keyboard skills and ability to read and write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the theatre team within the circulating role and daily running of the theatre environment.
• Be flexible to work across Trust locations to meet service demands.
• Participate in training and development programmes as identified by line manager.
