Overview

This is an exciting time at St Bartholomew's Hospital as we realise a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve services for today’s patients and future generations, creating world-class Cancer and Cardiovascular services. With an increase in Theatre and Cath lab activity, we have opportunities for Anaesthetic Practitioners with General and Cardiac experience to join us at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • You will work as an experienced Anaesthetic Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with demonstrable commitment to your own professional development and experience in a busy theatre environment.
  • Support Cardiovascular theatres and assist in Thoracic and General theatres, including Breast surgery, Endocrine, ENT and Ocular surgery. Experience within these specialties is desirable alongside enthusiasm and a desire to provide high-quality and compassionate care.
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, communicating clearly with anaesthetic and other healthcare professionals while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Work effectively within existing theatre teams while having the ability to work under your own initiative.
  • Commit to flexible work as per operational needs and be prepared to work at Nights, Weekends and On-Call.
