A UK Emergency Services Organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the transformation of crucial technology systems. The role demands more than 5 years of project management experience, primarily focusing on delivering complex projects in a blue light service context. Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing project delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with expectations. Strong communication and project management qualifications are essential. The position is located in Reading, England.
Onsite at Service Headquarters, Calcot, Reading, with travel to other Thames Valley sites and other Services as required.
As a blue light service dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of a business-critical system replacement. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to the enhancement of our service delivery.
Supporting Royal Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Services, Thames Valley Fire Control has been operationally live since 2015. The technology currently used to mobilise fire and rescue resources will be refreshed and the appointed Project Manager will lead this project through to successful delivery.
The successful candidate will demonstrate and promote behaviours in line with the Job Profile/Person Specification and our Behaviour Competency Framework as attached. The behaviours detailed within the job profile will be assessed throughout the selection process. Appointment is conditional upon undertaking a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
