Job summary

WGM Engineering Ltd, part of the RSK Group, seeks a Testing Electrician to join our E&M Services team on a permanent, full-time basis across Scottish Water sites in the West and South of Scotland.

You will inspect and test electrical installations, use NAPIT software for certification, and carry out remedial works to uphold high safety and compliance standards. A company van and fuel card are supplied, with a 7.30am–4.00pm Mon–Thu and 7.30am–1.30pm Fri pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering background or inspections.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and electrical certification.
• Time management skills and ability to prioritise.
• ECS card is essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent testing qualification recognized by NICEIC.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Proven IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical installations on Scottish Water assets.
• Fault-find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues.
• Deliver remedial works upon completion of testing.
• Carry out maintenance scheduled tasks (MSTs) on SW Apparatus.
• Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix.
• Demonstrate understanding of BS7671 electrical regulations.
• Complete and input into NICEIC Certification.
• Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings.
• Deliver electrical isolations and process instructions per ESR.
• Maintain Competent Person status per ESR.
