Job summary

Capita plc seeks a Tester - Software Testing to join our team in a homebased role, with the requirement to obtain Security Clearance. You will perform manual, functional, regression and UAT testing across software releases, craft test cases, analyse results, and ensure traceability to requirements.

You will track defects to resolution and support Agile delivery with planning, reviews and QA activities. You’ll collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve software quality and user

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 6 or above, or an equivalentqualification.
  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance or application support.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases and managing software defects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience in Agile delivery environments with Jira/Azure DevOps or similar tools is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regression testing, UAT, risk-based testing and test design techniques is desirable.
  • Experience supporting users through software implementation, training or process change is desirable.
  • Understanding of TAFMIS applications, planning processes or JPA is desirable.

Responsibilities

Tester - Software Testing

Homebased | Security Clearance required

Help ensure high-quality software releases while supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of the SOE tool across training delivery units. You will work within Agile delivery teams, combining hands-on testing, defect management, user support and collaboration with technical and operational stakeholders.

What You'll Need
Essential
