Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Test Technician in Marlow to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing environment on a 6 month contract. The role focuses on testing, fault finding and validation of advanced products and systems.

You will set up tests, operate environmental chambers, document findings and produce detailed reports while ensuring adherence to QMS and driving continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Test Technician or similar engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience operating test equipment and environmental test chambers.
• Ability to document findings and produce technical reports.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and conducting tests in line with specification requirements.
• Operating environmental and test chambers.
• Fault finding and diagnosing issues to component and system level.
• Recording test data and producing detailed technical reports.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with quality management systems and procedures.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the test and engineering functions.
• Working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
