Reed Engineering are working with a leading electronics manufacturing service provider to recruit a Test Technician to Join their team. This role is essential for ensuring the high quality of our client's products. As a Test Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the quality control process, conducting thorough tests on PCBs and assemblies to meet stringent quality standards.

Day-to-Day of the Role
  • Operate both automatic and manual test equipment to evaluate PCBs and assemblies against specified standards.
  • Record test results accurately and communicate findings with the Engineering and Quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret circuit diagrams to assist in troubleshooting and resolving test failures.
  • Maintain testing equipment through regular cleaning, calibration, and repair to ensure optimal performance.
  • Update testing protocols as necessary and suggest technical and procedural improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations in an electrical/electronic test environment.
  • Experience in designing and assembling test jigs is advantageous.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional and vocational development in Engineering.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:00; Friday, 07:30 to 12:30.
