Overview

Element is excited to offer an opportunity for a Test Technician - Tooling to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key member of our operations team you’ll have the chance to support both routine and exciting non‑routine testing assignments by preparing tooling fixtures and setting up of equipment. While working under minimal direct supervision you’ll gain hands‑on experience and contribute to high‑impact projects that support a variety of industries.

At our Element Warwick Vibration and Climatic Testing Centre of Excellence you’ll play a vital role in testing cutting‑edge products for leading customers in aerospace transportation space energy and defence. You’ll have the chance to engage with a diverse range of testing challenges all while working closely with our customers to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities
  • Prepare test items for testing or work with customers to prepare test items for testing.
  • Construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment.
  • Operate under the supervision of a more experienced test technician / engineer.
  • Possess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the workday with supervision.
  • Understand what must be completed each workday and take the initiative to complete those tasks properly and efficiently – does not require close time management and proactively looks for opportunities to improve or be more effective.
  • Accountable for technical activities of a limited scope once trained and may attain additional responsibilities for release of standard and/or routine data to clients.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively communicate professionally across functions.
  • Effective liaison with Test Engineers, other departments, customers contacts and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health Safety and the Environment.
  • Will be expected to obtain guidance if non‑routine situation testing occurs.
  • Support warehouse operations.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Has a solid engineering background with mechanical fitting skills and precision assembly.
  • Basic Electrical knowledge a benefit but not essential.
  • Able to read engineering drawings including geometric tolerancing.
  • FLT license (Counterbalance).
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety preferred.
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply training and knowledge within the context of Elements business.
  • Possesses computer skills in Excel Word and Outlook or is open to learning.
