Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Bicester seeks a Test Rig Engineer / Test Technician to support development and operation of advanced test rigs. The role suits hands-on engineers with a mechanical or electrical bias who enjoy building and working with complex test rigs.

You will build and configure test rigs, operate them for testing activities, and ensure safety and reliability. Strong practical problem-solving and ability to read drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building or assembling test rigs, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills (mechanical or electrical bias).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings or technical designs.
• Experience with industrial machinery or complex systems.
• Practical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble test rigs based on team designs.
• Set up and configure a variety of test systems and environments.
• Work with equipment such as: Dynos, Back-to-back test setups, Vibration tables, Other bespoke and industrial test rigs.
• Operate test rigs to carry out testing activities.
• Ensure all rigs are functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Cpontract - LONG TERM ON GOING

£20 AN HOUR paye

£30 an hour umbrella

(BASED ON EXPIERENCE)
